Small Town Vibes, Big City Lives
Known for its fun and quirky identity, Northeast LA has seen a rise in popularity thanks largely in part to its frequent appearance in film/television and its proximity to several notable educational institutions such as Glendale City College, Pasadena City College, and Occidental College which hosted President Barack Obama in his freshman year.
One of the most convenient features of this area is its abundance of access to local highways such as the 110, 5, 134 and 210 freeways. In addition, the NELA areas have also had the luxury of benefitting from Los Angeles' latest Metro Gold Line Expansion which allows the neighborhoods to retain their distinct identities while never being too isolated from the rest of the city.
One of the oldest parts of Los Angeles, Northeast LA is comprised of several neighborhoods including Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mount Washington, and many more.
