Old versus New...

Updated: Apr 26, 2019

A lot of things have changed since my wife and I bought our first home. Back in the day, we looked for a home that needed repairs. The worse, the better. We then would spend countless hours and dollars over the next several months fixing up the property, which led to very little time left for leisure.

Nowadays, buyers do not want to do any repairs on the home. They want it all done before moving in. Why?

First of all, they can afford it. They have good jobs that pay well to have these concerns taken care of. Second, they truly appreciate their time. They want to place time in things that can make them happy. They want to take trips to new and exotic places, try new foods and explore. Simply put, they want to want to live life.

I think buyers now are smarter. Thanks to the internet, they can have all of their questions answered in a short amount of time. They know what they want, and they come prepared.

We need to embrace our new Buyers, we need to adapt or get left behind.
